The Finance Department under the direction of the Finance Director is responsible for the accurate accounting of all receipts, disbursements, assets, liabilities, assessments and collects all monies due to the City of Medina. The Finance Department also records and prints water/rubbish billings, prepares payroll, maintains city investments and capital assets. The Finance Department represents the city fully in all financial matters and abides by all mandates governing proper fiscal controls.

MUNICIPAL INCOME TAX INFORMATION

***ALL MEDINA RESIDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO FILE INCOME TAX RETURNS WITH RITA***

If you are unsure if you live in the City of Medina you can check on the Medina County Auditor’s website at this link.  Note, please DO NOT check on the State of Ohio’s “Finder” as it is inaccurate. 

For municipal taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2018, all City residents age 18 and over are required to file a city income tax return with the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA).
