Medina City Council Ward 4 Vacancy:  Due to the election of Ward 4 Councilman Jim Shields as the city next Mayor, the Ward 4 Council seat will be filled by appointment.  If you live in Ward 4 and have an interest in being considered for the appointment, please print and complete the application and submit it to the City Council office in City Hall, 132 North Elmwood Avenue, by 4:00 pm on December 16, 2025.  Vacancy does not occur until January 1, 2026.  City Council meetings are at 7:30 pm on the second and fourth Monday of each month except August and December.  The Finance Committee (includes all Council members) precedes each council meeting and begins at either 5:30 or 6:00 pm, depending on the length of the agenda.  Each City Council member serves on at least two Council Committees that meet as needed. Applications for appointment to Ward 4 Medina City Council are being accepted.

All applications must be returned to City Council by 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 19th, 2025.

After completion of the interview process, the new appointee will be determined in early to mid-January 2026.
