Biography: A resident of Medina County for most of his life, John is married to his wife Jennifer and they have three children, two daughters and one son. John is an attorney at the law firm of Roetzel & Andress where he practices in the area of transactional real estate.

Jessica Hazeltine

Biography:  Jessica works with local non-profits in Marketing and Event Coordinating and she is the artist and owner of a small business, J.Scribbs Custom Hand Lettering and Calligraphy, LLC.  Jessica is proud mother of two children, Medina Bee Jack, and Cloverleaf Colt Grace.

Education:  Jessica attended Kent State University, Lorain County Community Collegte and Cuyahoga Community College.  She is an Ohio Certified Peer Support Specialist in both Addiction and Mental Health.

Dennie R. Simpson

Biography: Dennie has been a Medina resident for 46 years. He has been employed as a paramedic with Medina Life Support Team for 33 years and a Basic fire fighter for the Medina City Fire Department for 5 years. He is married to Phebe and has three children, Nathan, Zachary, and Nicholas and two step children, James and Aubrey.

Education: Medina High School, 1971 Akron University Allied Health Cuyahoga Community College Paramedic Program

Other Experience: Public Safety 33 years as a paramedic and 5 years as a firefighter. Served on several committees Medina General Hospital Affiliate member AHA.

Regi Haire

Biography:  A resident of Medina for over 40 years; Regi has two daughters, Sydney and Sierra Thomas.

Education:  Cloverleaf High School, Associate of Arts in Business from Cuyahoga Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron.

Profession:  Retired Accountant and Operations Manager for an Akron engineering company.  Coached girl's varsity lacrosse at two Medina County high schools for 8 years.

Other Experience:  Was President of two Medina City Non-Profit Sports Associations, has been an adult and youth volunteer coach in Medina for soccer, softball, basketball and lacrosse for over 30 years, and was a Medina At-Large Councilwoman in 2003.

Biography: Jim is a life long resident of the City of Medina. He has served as the Ward 4 Councilman since 2001.

Paul Rose

Biography: Paul has been a resident of Medina City since 1987. He and his wife, Joelle, have been married for over 40 years. They have 3 grown children. Paul’s professional career has taken him through Republic Steel, LTV Steel, and Andersen Consulting. 

Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, John Carroll University 1976 MBA, Cleveland State 1984

Other Experience: Member of the Storm Water Utility Commission, Member of the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Bill Lamb
 
Biography: Bill Lamb served as Medina’s Mayor from 1982 to 1990. He was the youngest mayor in Ohio, and is widely recognized for creating the foundations of contemporary Medina. His administration created the legislation that protects the historic district, bought the airport and saved the rail line that serves Medina’s industry. Prior to his election as Mayor, Bill taught at Ella Canavan Elementary School, worked as a newspaper reporter, ice hockey commissioner, social service aid and construction labor. After leaving the Mayor’s office he taught at a Catholic school in Cleveland, and Jewish and World Studies school in Akron. Bill is married to Elaine Lamb, a prominent Ohio artist and owner of Mud Mothers Pottery. Elaine and Bill have three adult children (Bill’s step children) and four grandchildren. Bill’s election as At-Large Councilman makes him only the second former Mayor elected to Council.
 
Education: Bill graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. While a student at LMU he served as President of his class, co-wrote the student government constitution, was President of the Student National Education Association, President of his fraternity and Editor of the student newspaper.
 
Appointments: Bill’s serves on the Finance Committee, Health, Safety & Sanitation Committee, Public Properties, Airport Commission and Railroad Commission.  He is the Chairman of the Special Legislation Committee.
 
Other Experience: Bill is a member of Vietnam Veterans of America, the President of the CommunityDesign Committee Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the South Court Historic Neighborhood Association.
