Congratulations to former Mayor Dennis Hanwell on receiving the 2026 Excellence in Medina County Leadership Award, the highest honor presented by Leadership Medina County. Many of his former staff members, along with current Mayor Jim Shields, were in attendance to recognize Dennis and celebrate this well-deserved achievement. Congratulations, Dennis, and thank you for your dedicated service and leadership to our community.
Friday, June 19th, 2026- Medina City Hall will be closed in recognition of Juneteenth Day. Residential rubbish collection will remain on a regular schedule for the week with no delay in rubbish on Friday.
In November, Medina City Council approved Ordinance 206-25, authorizing a $50,000 donation to Feeding Medina County to support residents of the City of Medina facing food insecurity.
