Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk

The Tunnel to towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers, and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty. Great America 250 Pumpkin Salute
October 24: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Public Square, Broadway
All ages are invited to bring their carved pumpkins to the Square for a special contest and lighting at 6 pm. Hoping to fill all the steps of the courthouses with pumpkins. Bring your lawn chair and your camera. Prizes for the Funniest, Scariest, Most Patriotic, and Best Group Display. There will be a hay maze, costume contest, games, music, food trucks and more! At 9 pm, everyone takes their pumpkin home for Halloween. Sponsored by Medina Sunrise Rotary and Ravago.

Medina Community Band will play in concert and there will be featured speakers to honor all veterans during the Medina Veteran’s Day Program.
Open House Honoring Veterans
November 14 & 15: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Veteran’s Hall, 620 North Broadway
Open House for the public to honor the service and sacrifice of veterans, and to visit displays of Medina’s history at war. All visitors will receive a hand-held American flag. Veterans will be on hand to talk with visitors. Refreshments will be served. Free admission.
