How Big is the Universe?

Speaker: Larry Johns
The known universe is 93 billion light years across. This presentation will help to understand earth’s relationship to the universe.
Inner Planets and Beyond Scavenger Hunt
Greater Medina Area, Noon to 5:00 pm
Requires a car and driver. Contestants must be ages 5 through 13. The clue on where to pick up the game card and first sticker will be posted on the City of Medina Solar Eclipse webpage on April 5, 2024.
Exploration of Space Exhibit
Medina Recreation Center, 855 Weymouth Road, Noon to 5:00 pm
Original artifacts show the discovery and exploration of space from sky charts to meteorite, to NASA and the Soviet Space Program, Space Pop Culture, and more on display for viewing.

The History of Earth in 24 Hours Display
Medina Library Lobby, 210 South Broadway, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
This exhibit will show the history of our planet if 4.6 million years were condensed into one 24-hour day. Globes will show the earth in various stages of development.
Total Eclipse Craft

Take and make a craft in preparation for the eclipse, while supplies last.
Dancing in the Dark Dance 2024 Solar Eclipse Celebration Party
Medina Centre for Dance Art, 129 North Court Street, 7:15 pm to 9:15 pm
As the sun and moon align for a rare solar eclipse, young dancers are invited to immerse themselves in a magical experience that combines dance with the wonders of the universe. There will be eclipse-themed crafts, snacks, games, and of course lots of dancing! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate dance, creativity, and the marvels of the universe! Medina Municipal Airport Fly-In
2050 Medina Road, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Fly in and celebrate on Monday with food trucks, entertainment, airplane and helicopter rides, and activities for kids. At 1:58 pm, begin watching the Solar Eclipse from one of the best viewing locations in Medina. Hosted by Cold Stream Air Service. Link to registration HERE.

3D Alien Miniature Golf/Castle Noel Watch Party

Total Eclipse of the Art
Do It Again, 201 West Liberty Street, Noon to 6:00 pm
Do It Again is hosting a "Total Eclipse of the Art" on April 8th. They are offering free make and takes to commemorate the day, and Morgan with Luna-Zaria Crystals will be at Do It Again to give 5–10-minute readings. Luna-Zaria Crystals will also be offering a crystal set for the eclipse. Make and takes will be available Friday April 5th through Monday, April 8th.
