The City of Medina maintains two cemeteries: Old Towne Graveyard and Spring Grove Cemetery.

The Old Towne Cemetery is located on East Liberty Street and was given to Medina by Elijah Boardman in the early 1800's and is the resting place of Medina's earliest settlers. It is no longer used for burials.

Spring Grove Cemetery is located on South Spring Grove Street and dates back to the 1880's. Burial sites and a cremains section are available in this cemetery. For more information or to locate a grave, please contact James Hjort, Sexton at (330) 722-9056 or The office is located in the newly constructed office facility at Spring Grove Cemetery.

The Friends of the Cemetery have discussed applying for Arboretum Accreditation with the Cemetery Commission and have taken steps necessary to apply for Level I or potentially Level II Arboretum. The City of Medina passed Resolution No. 167-20 supporting this effort.
