The City of Medina maintains two cemeteries: Old Town Graveyard and Spring Grove Cemetery.

The Old Town Cemetery is located on East Liberty Street and was given to Medina by Elijah Boardman in the early 1800’s and is the resting place of Medina’s earliest settlers. It is no longer used for burials.
Spring Grove Cemetery is located on South Spring Grove Street and dates back to the 1880’s. Burial sites and a cremains section are available in this cemetery. The office is located in the newly constructed office facility at Spring Grove Cemetery.
The Friends of the Cemetery in partnership with the City of Medina has been awarded Level II
Accreditation by the ArbNet Accreditation Program and The Morton Arboretum for achieving particular standards for professional practices deemed important for arboreta and botanic gardens. The Cemetery maintains a working list of Veterans interred in Spring Grove and Old Town. To view the list, click Veterans at Spring Grove To have a Veteran added to the list, please call 330-722-9056.
Please note. The winter clean off will be done on March 17, 18 and 19. Please have any statuary and / or memorabilia removed no later than March 16, 2026.
